Penny Cardigan is worked entirely in rib pattern, from the top down, in double yarn — Tynn Peer Gynt and Tynn Silk Mohair. The ribbing gives a fluid drape and a fit that adapts to the body.
You start with the yoke, worked back and forth with short rows for a deeper front neckline and with raglan increases. Once the neck is shaped, work continues back and forth, still increasing.
When all raglan increases are done, the work is divided for sleeves, back and front, and each part is finished separately.
