Comfort Set 2 is the set you start any project with, without hunting for the right tip first. It holds ten pairs of 12.5 cm Koshitsu tips in the small and medium sizes, six swivel cords in three lengths, two connectors and two end stoppers, all laid out in an unbleached cotton case.
The tips are made in Japan by Kinki Amibari from Moso bamboo. The Koshitsu treatment combines high pressure and heat with an infusion of plant wax, so the surface stays smooth and glossy after years of knitting. Mohair, silk and fine yarns glide over them without catching.
The set also covers the in between sizes you will not find sold separately: 2.25, 2.75, 3.25 and 3.75 mm. Those are exactly the sizes you need when your gauge swatch comes out one stitch over or under.

Which circumferences do the cords cover?The 35, 55 and 75 cm cords, together with the 12.5 cm tips, give circumferences of roughly 60, 80 and 100 cm. With the connector you can join two cords and go further, for a sweater body or a large shawl.
What is the difference between M1.8 and M2?M1.8 is the thread for the fine sizes, up to 3.25 mm, and M2 takes over from 3.5 mm upwards. The set includes cords, a connector and a stopper for both systems, so nothing else is needed.
Can I expand the set later?Yes. The 12.5 cm Koshitsu tips and the short 5 cm ones are sold separately, as are the Seeknit nylon cords and the M2 to M1.8 adapter.
How do I care for the bamboo?The Koshitsu treatment makes it resistant to moisture and wear. Keep the set dry and away from direct heat sources, and the case takes care of the rest.
