What is the smallest circumference? With a 20 cm cord you land around 28 to 30 cm, which is exactly what an adult sock or a sleeve needs.
Are they awkward if I have large hands? A short tip is held between the fingers, not in the palm. It feels odd for the first round or two, then you forget about it. If you prefer something longer, the same range comes in 12.5 cm.
Do they fit the cords I already own? Yes, as long as they are Seeknit cords with an M1.8 thread. For M2 you need the Seeknit converter.
