Cornelia Cardigan is worked from the top down with a pattern from a chart, in double yarn — Alpakka Ull and Alpakka Følgetråd.
You start with the back, using short rows for the sloped shoulder, then continue to the underarms. The fronts are picked up at the shoulders and shaped with increases and decreases at the neckline.
Once all pieces are joined on one circular needle, the body is worked back and forth to full length, finishing in ribbing. The sleeves are worked in the round following the chart. The front bands and neckband are knitted last.
